David has spent over 30 years in high risk environments where safety and risk management often had a direct impact on safety to life. Qualifying as a Royal Navy Mine Clearance Diver in 1993 he conducted high risk diving tasks around the world before specialising in Improvised Explosive Device Disposal where his focus was counter terrorist support.
On leaving the Navy in 2012 he joined JP Morgan as a crisis and financial risk manager before moving back to the maritime providing risk and security services to commercial shipping transiting high risk areas.
For the past 4 years David has been involved in the very new field of commercial unmanned aviation. He is currently the Head of New Markets at Centrik, a British company providing digital safety and risk management tools. At Centrik David leads 4 markets namely Defence, Maritime, Unmanned Systems and Banking. All these markets are heavily regulated and are safety, financially or risk critical environments. David works with a huge variety of clients from banks to defence prime contractors, air operators and ship operators helping improve oversight and safety outcomes.
