Clint E. Taliana is a seasoned aviation expert in operations. Since October 2022, he has been serving as an Air Operations Expert at the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), concentrating on rulemaking and standardisation activities within the Flight Standards Directorate. His various projects include group operations, airships and flight and duty time limitations, with engagement in safety risk management of the Agency. For over a decade prior to that, he was the Head of Flight Operations Inspectorate at Transport Malta’s Civil Aviation Directorate, where he oversaw regulatory and safety compliance. Leading a team of inspectors, he oversaw the growth of Malta’s AOC portfolio from 15 to over 40 operators.
Clint began his aviation career at Mediterranean Aviation Co. Ltd., undertaking roles such as Station Manager for Libya Operations and Section Manager for the Flight Technical Department. His responsibilities included managing the company’s operating base in Libya and engaging with major oil corporations. This background has allowed him to remain practical in his approach to rule making, always keeping safety as a priority.
